Pack your bags and gear for an immersive weekend of photography!

The Otways Photography camp is a weekend photography experience (2 nights) allowing you to immerse yourself in the wonders of what the Otways has to offer photographically.

The camp explores waterfalls and beaches as well as the chance for astro photography along the great ocean road (weather permitting). We’ll be covering filters for landscape showing you how to better control light as well as getting the most out of the natural wonders of the area. As well as taking photos, we’ll also be running though post processing techniques to maximise what you’ve captured.

You’ll be staying in accommodation in Apollo Bay close to shops and restaurants as well as affording access to numerous photographic opportunities.

Transport to Apollo Bay (from Essendon) and to all locations is provided.

Requirements

• A DSLR or Mirrorless camera capable of being set to Manual
• Tripod
• Clothing suitable for inclement weather (raincoat etc …)
• Sturdy footwear. Hiking boots or shoes should be considered for the camp

Photographic Knowledge

This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience from beginner to advanced.

Departure and Return

Departing: Friday 2pm - We will be departing from Essendon Station (pickup from locations in surrounding area can be arranged).

Returning: Sunday 6pm to Essendon Station (or locations in surrounding area).

Level of Fitness

This workshop involves a reasonable degree of hiking including some steep stairs.

A medium level of fitness is required for this workshop including the ability to move with your camera equipment.

Recommended

Filters: ND, Graduated ND and polariser would be useful but not essential. Filters will be available to borrow if you don't have them already.

Weather

This is an all weather event. Please ensure you pack the correct attire for inclement weather.

* There are two accomodation options. Option 1 is the shared house (three rooms available) which provides your own room with communal kitchen and shared bathroom. You'll be staying with your guides for the camp allowing access to more conversation and one on one.

Option 2 will be made available once Option 1 has filled and will include your own studio cabin located away from the main house.
